140th Avenue NE/SE Corridor Improvements
City of Bellevue, WA

KPG provided preliminary planning, design, and construction documents for the redevelopment of this mile-long collector arterial. Work included a center-turn lane with new bike lanes, curb, gutter and sidewalks. Also added were landscaped center islands and planter strips, three new signals, new illumination system, new storm drainage system, signing, and striping. Issues involved in this project included: noise impacts, single-family and multifamily residential frontage impacts, and extensive franchise utility coordination to eliminate conflicts with existing facilities.

140th Avenue won the APWA Project of the Year award (WA Chapter) in 2003!
