KPG designed a pump station for the City of Redmond that complimented the neighborhood and community it serves. KPG designed a single story "house" that is capped by a metal hip roof, and colored and textured concrete masonry walls punctuated by glass block windows. The materials were chosen not only for their durability but also for their ability to attenuate booster pump noises. The emergency power generation exhaust was channeled through a roof "chimney". KPG also designed site improvements including roadway widening, new sidewalks, security fencing, and additional plantings for visual screening and concealment. |
