KPG performed a drainage study for this 150-acre residential neighborhood to determine the source of groundwater and surface water problems throughout the area and developed recommendations for improvements. KPG worked closely with neighborhood residents with a series of public meetings and one-on-one field reviews of problem areas. Alternatives considered included pumping, deep cutoff trenches, and a network of shallow collection trenches, and overall reconstruction of the right of way. The final study included phasing recommendations and cost estimates for new conveyance and groundwater collection trenches as well as roadway and sidewalk replacement for which KPG provided final design and construction management.
