BACK / INTERNATIONAL BOULEVARD HIGH FLOW BYPASS
KPG provided modeling, alternative analysis, PS&E, and construction services for this 8,000 lf high flow bypass and regional treatment facility. Seasonal spring activity and commercial development in this 420 acre basin were causing severe erosion and fish habitat degradation in the tributaries of Riverton and Southgate Creek. KPG developed a solution to maintain base flows in the stream crossings and route the higher erosive flows in a new bypass pipeline installed in International Boulevard. KPG coordinated with WSDOT to install a regional treatment swale at the outlet of the high flow bypass prior to outfalling into the Duwamish River.
